Gabon’S POZI Secures EUR 650K Seed Funding Milestone

Africa-Press – Eswatini. POZI, a Gabonese fleet management startup founded in 2020 by Loïc Kapitho and Thomas Leluc, has successfully raised EUR 650K (~USD 755K) in seed funding. This funding round is notable as it marks the first international VC-backed investment for a Gabonese tech company, signaling a new phase of growth for the country’s emerging tech ecosystem.

The seed funding was led by Saviu Ventures, with additional participation from EMSY CAPITAL and angel investor Chazai Wamba. The investment is a significant step for Gabon, whose startup scene, along with the wider Central African ecosystem, has historically received limited attention from venture capitalists compared to other regions on the continent.

POZI offers advanced telematics and fleet management solutions that go beyond basic vehicle tracking. The platform provides businesses with predictive analytics, performance indicators, and risk management tools, enabling companies to optimize their fleets more efficiently. This comprehensive solution has already been adopted by over 2,500 vehicles in Gabon, reflecting the growing demand for digital solutions in logistics and transportation.

Looking ahead, POZI plans to expand its services into Côte d’Ivoire in 2025, aiming to connect 35,000 vehicles across 10 African countries by 2030. This ambitious expansion is part of the startup’s broader goal to become a key player in the digitization of logistics across the African continent, supporting a more efficient, data-driven approach to fleet management.
