Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mkhuleko Mangwe, popularly known as Sancheziey, has officially confirmed the release of his much-anticipated single, Batawuvuma, set for November 1, 2025.
Describing the song, Sancheziey shared, “Batawuvuma is a Cultural Afro Pop song made from the Swati cultural sound ‘Batawuvuma bayekeleni.’ Inspired by the Salukazana sound, it incorporates both the old generation and the new generation with the infusion of cultural sounds, western hip hop elements, and African instruments. Batawuvuma has a maskandi taste, a hip hop vibe, and is rooted in Afro Pop.”
The artist further explained the song’s message, emphasizing resilience and determination: “It’s been quite some time for everyone or a high percentage of people trying in life generally. They’ve faced different challenges along their journey. This song comes as a surety of your succession and a message to those who doubted your efforts.”
Written solely by Sancheziey, the track has already captured the hearts of listeners since a snippet dropped in late September. “Many feel like it’s threatening Siyabonga Gogo, yet I believe it’s going to make a statement that I’m here to stay,” he said. “The song plays as the mother of all music to come from me and is written so everyone can relate across all life chases or angles.”
The single was created in partnership with Emadlelweni Records, who produced the beat, while backing vocals feature prominent artists such as Nkay, Capital Prince, Apex the Vocalist, Yaya, Kasikazi, Tus Mvuleni, and Ulaka Lebhubesi contributing to the song’s illulations. According to Sancheziey, “During its recording session, nobody was told to perform Swati cultural dance, but everyone did it, proving that the song has direction and resonates with its target audience.”
Batawuvuma was tested live at the Kusile Cultural Celebration in Nelspruit on September 20, where it impressed the audience, and later at Mlawula Campfire, further solidifying its appeal.
On the release plans, Sancheziey revealed that the concept is still under discussion, but assured fans, “emaSwati, it’s coming out on the 1st of November. Batawuvuma is my last offering to the music industry for 2025, and I believe it will elevate the Salukazana brand even further. Fans are already waiting, and I urge them to engage with it, especially on TikTok, while waiting for the official release.”
