GOGO NA S’LWANE TAKES ‘LUGODVO KIMI’ TO MPUMALANGA

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Fresh from a sold-out showcase at Mantenga Cultural Village, Eswatini’s comedy powerhouses Gogo and Slwane are not resting on their laurels.

The duo has officially announced an extensive tour of Mpumalanga, bringing their viral “Lugodvo Kimi” concept to South African stages starting this March.

The tour kicks off in Ermelo on March 27, 2026, before heading to Mbombela and KaBokweni in April. The duo’s signature show, “Lugodvo Kimi: The Comedy Show,” features a heavy-hitting lineup of Eswatini’s most loved entertainers, led by gospel icon Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group.

The “Lugodvo Kimi” theme aims to light-heartedly unpack burning societal issues, or “tibi tendlu.” Starring alongside established actor Thembe “Hembe” Dlamini and rising content creator Wesley “Slim Bee” Masuku, the show uses humor to prompt reflection on bettering society.

“The show will suck the audience in in a manner we hope will educate and entertain,” commented Slwane. “At the heart of it all will be those necessary and natural rib-cracking giggles that come with anything starring us.”

The tour is designed to be a full sensory experience. Support acts include the popular Christian Dude, Bongiswa, Darren, and Festival B. Additionally, Mpumalanga’s foremost ventriloquist, Shaun The Talking Monkey, will join the roster to ensure the “Lugodvo Kimi” stage remains dynamic.

Gogo Eswatini reflected on the duo’s growth: “This is us firmly rolling our sleeves for our busiest year to date. We are bringing our brothers, Shongwe neKhuphuka, from whom we continue to learn. We want everyone to take an experience home to share with their great-grandchildren.”

The duo has promised a “ten-star rating” and a guaranteed great time for all attendees:

March 27: Ermelo (Opening Night)

April: Mbombela & KaBokweni

May: Mzinti (Mpumalanga)

May: Ezulwini, Eswatini (One-Man Show)

“Luhleko alube part of our new year’s resolutions!” Gogo closed. “Add ‘Attend All Shows by Gogo and Slwane’ to your bucket list. We promise angeke kufane nekutsela emanti emsileni welidada (it won’t be like pouring water on a duck’s tail).”
