GOVT FULLY SUPPORTS ENPF PENSION REFORM FOR ALL EMASWATI

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has reaffirmed Government’s full support for Lidlelantfongeni, the Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF), as it moves ahead to transform into a National Pension Scheme.

The PM said the move will ensure that, upon retirement, all economically active Emaswati will receive a monthly income until they pass on, while also providing survivors’ benefits for spouses and children.

He was speaking yesterday when touring the ENPF stand at the Eswatini International Trade Fair in Manzini. The PM was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister Thuli Dladla, Minister of Labour and Social Security Phila Buthelezi, among other ministers and dignitaries.

“This reform is not just about pensions; it is about poverty alleviation and strengthening hope to the nation,” he said.

The Premier further praised ENPF for its stewardship and sound management of members’ interests.

“ENPF has proven itself as a well-governed institution with a solid business model, and this bold transition is a testament to its commitment to securing the future of Emaswati,” he added.

He was welcomed by ENPF CEO Futhie Tembe, General Manager Coporate Services Sindi Mango, and staff members.
