Africa-Press – Eswatini. Government, through the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, has officially opened the 2025 scholarship applications for learners wishing to study at universities and colleges within Eswatini and selected SADC countries — Botswana, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Kenya (excluding South Africa and Namibia).
This exciting opportunity allows students who hold acceptance letters from eligible institutions, backed by the Government of Eswatini, to apply online through the Ministry’s scholarship portal at https://www.slas.gov.sz. Students are reminded to ensure they have their high school leaving certificates ready to attach to their applications.
The Ministry encourages applicants to familiarize themselves with the Government Priority List of programs available on the Ministry’s website and Facebook page to align their applications with national development goals. Careful reading and adherence to the online application instructions are essential for a smooth application process.
The deadline for applications is set for 30 June 2025, giving students ample time to prepare. Those needing assistance can reach out by calling 2404 2515 or visiting the scholarship office reception at the old income tax building (Etolishini), ground floor.
This scholarship program stands as a beacon of opportunity, empowering Eswatini’s youth to pursue higher education and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth. It reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to investing in education and preparing the next generation for a brighter, knowledge-driven future.
