Africa-Press – Eswatini. It has taken 31 long years, but the wait is finally over.
The people of Hosea witness a moment written into the annals of their history – the return of His Majesty King Mswati III to their land.
The last time the King visited Hosea, it was the year 1994. He had come to open what is now known as Silele Clinic, a then-Red Cross facility transformed through royal touch. That memory has stayed alive in the hearts of the people, and today, it will be revived with even greater significance.
His Majesty’s visit this time is no ordinary one. It marks a powerful symbol of healing, rebuilding, and renewed hope.
He is expected to officially open the newly reconstructed Inkhundla Centre, a modern 650-seater community hall, and a brand-new screen clinic — all structures that stand tall today after the dark days of 2021, when the constituency’s Inkhundla Centre was among many across the country destroyed in the unrest.
But from the ashes, Hosea has risen again — thanks to the reconstruction efforts commissioned by the King. And today, His Majesty returns, not just to cut ribbons, but to answer the heartfelt plea of his people.
It was in 2023 when the area’s MP, Sifiso Mabuza, stood before the King at Mandvulo Grand Hall, carrying a message that echoed from every hill and homestead in Hosea. “Your Majesty, your people long to see you once more,” he said. “Your presence brings blessings — rain, growth, and renewed spirit.”
His words were not in vain.
Today, as the sun rises over the green valleys of Hosea, excitement fills the air. MP Mabuza, speaking to Eswatini Positive News, shared the joy that has gripped the community. “The people are too excited,” he said. “We are expecting them to come out in great numbers. This visit is more than ceremonial – it is historic, it is sacred.”
For many in the constituency, today is a dream come true. It is a sign that even after decades, a King never forgets his people. And it is a reminder that with leadership rooted in listening and love, progress will always find its way back home.
Indeed, as His Majesty steps once more on the soil of Hosea, he does not just bring blessings — he brings a promise fulfilled.
