INGATJA GETS INCWALA SONG LESSONS FROM KING

Africa-Press – Eswatini. This was a phrase used by His Majesty King Mswati III as he taught Ingatja an Incwala song during the delivery of Lusekwane inside the Ludzidzini Cattle Byre yesterday. The phrase simply means ‘do not rush’ and is commonly used and understood by warriors. The King would now and again urge the warriors not to rush the young boys to ensure that they took the song from Bayes’khulu.

Shields

The King also provided shields for all Ingatja to ensure that they danced appropriately as they delivered the shrubs.

Worth noting is that one cannot dance Incwala song properly without a shield, as there is a time when it is required. The King also showed appreciation for the quality shrubs delivered by the young boys.

The Ingatja was also appreciated by Lutsango and Imbali as they passed by with their quality shrubs. Members of Lutsango and Imbali regiments ululated and shouted in jubilation as the regiment from His Majesty’s Correctional Services and Hhohho entered the cattle byre with their shrubs.
