Africa-Press – Eswatini. Inyatsi Group’s Moloma Colliery paid R7million as terminal benefits for the retrenched over two hundred(200) employees.

This was confirmed by Inyatsi Group’s Executive Chairman Michello Shakantu on Thursday afternoon when responding to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini who wanted to know how much was spent in paying the retrenched employees.

On another Wander Mkhonza, the Secretary General of the Amalgamated Trade Union of Swaziland(ATUSWA) confirmed the retrenchment, he said the Management consulted them as a union before retrenching the employees to ensure that labour laws are followed.

The mining company retrenched the workers citing financial challenges, some positions were declared redundant.
