Africa-Press – Eswatini. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini today warmly received a high-level delegation of investors from the Republic of China, Taiwan.

The delegation, representing a broad spectrum of industries, including biotechnology, energy, ICT, textiles, and food processing, is in the country on a mission to identify viable areas for long-term investment partnerships.

The welcoming ceremony, held at the Private and Cabinet Office, was also attended by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, and Taiwan’s Ambassador to Eswatini, His Excellency Jeremy Liang.

The Premier extended Eswatini’s full support to the visiting delegation, assuring them of a stable policy environment, attractive incentives, and an investment climate second to none. He further encouraged the investors to explore the Kingdom’s competitive advantages, especially its strategic trade relationships.

“Our relationship with Taiwan and the United States is at its peak right now,” stated the Prime Minister. “We urge you to take full advantage of this strong alliance, which offers low tariffs and preferential market access.”

During their stay, the delegation will engage with His Majesty King Mswati III and tour the proposed 158-hectare Taiwan Industrial Park in Phocweni, a future economic hub. They will also participate in the Eswatini Economic and Investment Seminar set for Wednesday.

Their itinerary includes visits to key industrial and innovation sites such as the Matsapha Industrial Area, Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP), Swazi Secrets Factory, Texray, Ngwenya Glass, and Ezulwini Handcraft Market—providing a glimpse into the country’s diverse industrial and cultural landscape.

This engagement not only highlights the flourishing diplomatic ties between Eswatini and Taiwan but also underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering inclusive economic growth through sustainable partnerships.
