Africa-Press – Eswatini. “IF Christians could repent genuinely and refrain from toying with the gospel, the disturbing spate of killings of women by their partners will stop in 2024 and God will begin to fight their battles.”
This declaration was made by founder of Divine Healing Ministries International Bishop Nash Shongwe during a crossover service held at the church’s main branch in Manzini.
The bishop was reacting to the spate of brutal killings of women by their lovers.
Just recently, members of the public were horrified as they witnessed a man brutally stab and kill his former lover in broad daylight.
Zinia Tembe (24) of Madonsa was stabbed seven times in the neck, head and face allegedly by her former lover Nkululeko Norman Kunene (25) of Mliba area on Saturday at around 4pm.
According to the bishop, who read the scriptures in the book of I Samuel 7:1-14, the Israelites had been forsaken by God because they were worshipping idols, to a point that the Ark of the Lord had been seized by their enemies for a period of 20 years.
He pointed out that the Israelites mourned as the Lord had abandoned them because of their disobedience.
He said Prophet Samuel advised them that if they wanted to return to the Lord, they needed to repent, forsake their foreign gods and turn their hearts and obey him alone and they did likewise.
Repented
The bishop said after the Israelites had genuinely repented and got rid of their idols, God began to fight their battles.
“The Lord spoke with a mighty voice of thunder from heaven that day, and the Philistines were thrown into such confusion that the Israelites defeated them,” he said.
The bishop said 2024 was a year of prosperity for Eswatini and that God would bless the country like never before.
Killing
He said the demon of suicide and killing of women by their partners willy- nilly would come to a halt.
“Men will stop killing their loved ones for no apparent reason,” Shongwe said.
He urged jilted men to desist from killing their ex-lovers, stating that this was a very distasteful act before God. He said it was disheartening that a week hardly goes by without men brutally killing their loved ones.
Lightning
“This year, the lame shall walk, the blind shall see and the barren shall conceive.
“Those who struggled to get employment last year shall be employed this year. God will thunder like lightning and confuse the enemies of his children,” the bishop said.
He, however, stated that all this would be achieved if Christians genuinely repent and leave their wayward acts and sins behind.
“Christians need to repent and refrain from toying with the gospel, stealing, committing adultery and fornicating.
“We need to leave a holy life if we want to see the divine intervention of God,” he said.
