Africa-Press – Eswatini. King Mswati has announced a R15million sponsorship for the annual Ingwenyama Cup tournament,he then urged emaSwati to play a role in preventing road accidents.
The King was speaking at the Mavuso Trade Centre on Friday evening during the 2024 Ingwenyama Cup Awards Ceremony, the R15million will spread for a period of three(3) years.
“This additional support will ensure that the Ingwenyama cup continues to thrive in promoting both soccer excellence and our cultural heritage.Over the past six years, this tournament has not only showcased the exceptional talent of our soccer players, but it has also been a vibrant celebration of our rich and deep culture and heritage as emaSwati.The Ingwenyama Cup has grown to become a cornerstone of our national pride,” said the King.
The event was attended by King’s representative in the Ingwenyama Cup Committee Prince Hlangabeza, football administrators, the MVA Board of Directors, Cabinet Ministers and other high profile people.
