Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mbabane Highlanders have completed the signing of Royal Leopards winger Bonginkhosi ‘Manyovu’ Dlamini and ex-Green Mamba striker Musa Dlamini.
The two stars were unveiled by team’s Managing Director Ally Kgomongwe yesterday at the Somhlolo National Stadium ahead of their CAF Confederation clash against Royal AM.
The players are believed to have penned two-year contracts each.
‘Manyovu’ joined the capital city giants after a short stint with Angolan side Sagrada Esperanca
On the other hand, Musa Dlamini was released by the Green Mamba where he once won the MTN Premier League Top Goal Scorer Award during the 2018/19 season.
The duo is expected to train with the capital city giants this week in preparation for the 2022/23 MTN Premier League campaign
The two players won’t feature in the CAF Confederation cup qualifying round as they have been both signed after the first CAF registration deadline which was closed last month.
However, the two players can be registered for the continents’ second premier club competition if Highlanders can reach the group stages.
Meanwhile, Manyovu’s parent club Leopard Chief Executive Officer Frank Hurube said they were unaware of the news.
“I’ve heard people talking about the unveiling of the player. To be honest I don’t know anything,” he said.
Other recently signed Highlanders players:
1. Aristo Tamuzi (Vovovo)
2. Mpendulo Tfomo (Moneni Pirates)
3. Tshwareng Bereng (Black Leopard)
