Lawyer Sifiso Jele Denies Forging Court Documents

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Lawyer Sifiso ‘Charlie’ Jele has come out to clarify that, he never used alleged fraudulent means to obtain a court order with an alleged intention to collect money from Gogo Dlamini, the widow to the late businessman ‘Top Hits’ Dlamini.

Speaking on Monday evening, the lawyer said, as a reputable legal practitioner, he “cannot be seen forging documents” to obtain court orders because that would damage his reputation and subsequently end his career.

“I am representing the out-of-wedlock children of the late businessman ‘Top Hits’, some of them are unemployed and they were supported by their father while he was still alive. So after the death of their father, Gogo Dlamini first refused to share the eState money with the out-of wedlock children. We then approached the court and the court ruled that, the children were entitled to benefit from the eState,” he said.

When asked to clarify the alleged questionable “return of service” document, used to obtain a court order, lawyer Sifiso ‘Charlie’ Jele clarified that, Gogo Dlamini was served with the court papers by a Deputy Sheriff and as a result, her “signature is appearing” in the court documents.

“I am representing many reputable clients Dlamini and now they are reading the stories on Swaziland News, questioning me about this matter as if I am a lawyer forging court documents.I cannot ruin my reputation with this case, here I was just assisting the children as a lawyer,I have giant clients who don’t want to be associated with a lawyer forging court documents hence my reputation should be above reproach. What I am saying is; the matter involving Gogo Dlamini is back in court now and I maintain that Gogo was served with court papers, if need arise, a signature expert could be engaged to ascertain if indeed, her signature was forged. A lawyer Dlamini must always be a trusted and reputable officer of the court and, if such allegations emerge, that’s very serious and must be investigated accordingly. In this matter, the court further suggested that, we must hold a meeting with Gogo Dlamini and agree on how the eState could be shared, we are hoping to hold that meeting very soon,” he said.

On another note, Nhlanhla Enerst Ginindza of NE Ginindza Attorneys has taken-up the matter, representing Gogo Dlamini who told this publication that, she had nothing to eat after lawyer Sifiso Jele grabbed everything.

But even on this particular allegation, lawyer Sifiso ‘Charlie’ Jele clarified that, he wouldn’t be so “heartless” and grab everything from Gogo.

“Gogo collected part of the rent in the last two(2) months and I suggested that, while we work towards establishing an neutral bank account, the money must be paid in my law-firm’s account, that’s was a temporary arrangement Dlamini. You can verify and if you want proof, I can provide the documents, all the rent that was paid by the tenants in the law-firm’s bank account was then, paid to the children of the late businessman so they can have something to eat. One of the children is unemployed, literally struggling financially with nothing to eat, he was very close to his father who was supporting him financially”, said the lawyer.
