Africa-Press – Eswatini. THE MTN Premier League is now approaching its boiling point with only two games remaining in the exhilarating 2021/22 campaign.

Yesterday’s game 28 batch of matches witnessed the relegation of Malanti Chiefs who have been known as the great relegation escapers for the past two seasons.
‘Bafana Bemboyi’ were handed a 5-0 drubbing by title dark horses Young Buffaloes in their own backyard Killarney Stadium.

The gold and black ensemble cannot finish outside the bottom four even if they can win their remaining two matches, which can take them to 27 points.
Outing

It was a good outing for Buffaloes as they kept their hopes alive after their convincing 18th win to stay fourth with 60 points.

Elsewhere, defending champions Royal Leopard kept their command at the summit of the log with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Tambankulu Callies to remain tops with 65 points.

Second-placed Mbabane Highlanders consolidated the current spot after their 3-0 win over Vovovo. Mbabane Swallows also maintained their good run after outsmarting Moneni Pirates by 4-1 at King Sobhuza II Stadium.

The race for the golden boot award remains stiff between Young Buffaloes talisman Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze and his Highlanders counterpart Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa.

Gamedze is still top with 24 goals, three goals ahead of Ndzinisa, who netted a brace against Vovovo.
