Africa-Press – Eswatini. Royal Leopard have made their intentions clear, of winning the MTN Premier League, and they will start by completing the league double over Mbabane Highlanders in order to stretch their lead at the summit.
The police side faces the capital city giants at Mavuso Sports Centre in what is a high stakes match for both sides, as Leopard lead at the top with 31 points, while Highlanders sit in fifth place with 26 points.
A win for Ingwe Mabalabala means they also get their third win on bounce, with the club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Frank Hurube saying they would pick up from where they left off in the first round, as they were not bothered by Highlanders.
He highlighted that this would be the first time they would be coming into the match with a full injury free squad.
“They will be looking to hurt us and get revenge for what we did to them in the first round, but we will definitely complete a double against them.
Our aim is to maintain the lead at summit of the log.We are a big brand and we need to bring back the glory days to the team,” Hurube said.
Mbabane Highlanders PRO Kenneth Dlamini says they would definitely be out to seek revenge against police side.
The soft spoken mouthpiece stated that they were ready to fight with all they have to end the police side winning streak.
Dlamini said they lost to Leopard in the first round so it was only fair and right to get a sweet revenge for their loyal supporters.
“They know what they did to us in the first round and it’s going to be payback time today.
We know they will come gun blazing but we are equally a good team and we want them big. We will be coming to the match with all our players motivated,” he said.
