Africa-Press – Eswatini. Giant slayers Madlenya recorded their fourth goalless draw against Ezulwini United at Prince of Wales Sports Ground yesterday as they dropped more points.
However, despite the draw, the Siphofaneni-based outfit is now tied with Green Mamba at the top, with 16 points.
Ezulwini United started better than the visitors as they were penetrative but in the final third, they lost contact with their frontrunners.
Madlenya goalkeeper Dumisani Dlamini was called to action in 42 minutes when he blocked Siboniso Motsa’s effort to a fruitless corner-kick. Neither side could break the deadlock until the end of the first half. The beginning of the second half had more tension with Madlenya making inroads towards the opposition half.
The host was dealt a blow in 66th minute when Andile Mamba received a red card following a dangerous play on goalkeeper Dumisani Dlamini in 50/50 situation. With time running out, the two sides became desperate for a goal. At the end the encounter ended in a goalless draw.
