Africa-Press – Eswatini. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

This adage seems to hold true for former Manzini Wanderers brand manager Lucky ‘Majayivane’ Dlamini after making his way back to the maroon and white ensemble’s hierarchy, having been appointed in a special task team alongside four others.

The appointment was made on Tuesday evening during the supporters meeting held opposite the Old Trade Fair Grounds.

Making up the task team are Lenny Dvuba, Sabelo Khumalo and an identified supporter from the Nhlangano branch.

The interim committee will work closely with the team’s director and the National Supporters Committee (NSC) in addressing some of the team’s problems.

Reached for comment, ‘Majayivane’ said this structure was for a short period.
“We’re here for a very short period to offer help where we can. We will give feedback to the supporters in the upcoming mass meeting after this weekend’s match”, he said.

Meanwhile, NSC Acting Chairperson ‘Colo’ Dlamini announced that the mass meeting, scheduled for today, had been shifted to next weekend.

“We have decided to postpone this weekend’s mass meeting because we want all the structures of the club to be present. A venue for the meeting will be announced in due course,” he said.

The hub giants are going through a rough patch this season, having played 14 matches without a win, which resulted in the team’s elders showing their long serving coach Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe the door.

The Velekhaya Mthethwa-led men will tomorrow face the revamped Malanti Chiefs at Killarney Stadium.
