Africa-Press – Eswatini. Same venue, new date, and a massive milestone as Phase One tickets officially sell out!
The fifth edition of the highly anticipated Makoti Festival has been rescheduled and will now be held on 02 May 2026 at the Malkerns Country Club. The executive team announced that the shift from the initial date of 25 April was necessary to accommodate the schedules of key headliners, ensuring that fans experience the full, star-studded lineup originally envisioned for this year’s milestone event.
As the festival draws near, fans have scrambled to secure their spots, completely “grabbing” all available Phase One VIP and General tickets. With the first batch exhausted, ticket sales have officially moved to Phase 2. Attendees are encouraged to book early to avoid the final price hikes in Phase 3.

Tickets are currently available across all major platforms, including Computicket, Howler, Moja Ticket, and the festival’s official website.
The Executive Team has promised an epic experience for this fifth edition, with more artists set to be revealed in the coming weeks. The recently released Phase 1 lineup already features heavy hitters, including:
DJ Zinhle: South African sensation, TV personality, and business mogul.
Nothando Hlophe: Local Gospel powerhouse and former Spirit of Praise member, fresh from her international tour in Taiwan.
Local Talent: Velemiseni, Gifted Kosie, Culolami, Ash, NelsonX.
International Flair: Mozambique’s DJ Skywhite.
Since its inception in April 2022, the Makoti Festival has grown into a premier family-oriented celebration rooted in Eswatini traditions. The festival specifically honors the journey of women—from young girls and unmarried women to married makotis—celebrating their roles within the cultural fabric of the region.
The 2026 edition follows the massive success of last year’s event, which saw talent arrive from four different countries: South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, and Mozambique. This year promises to be a full day of live music, high fashion, and profound cultural exchange, showcasing Southern Africa’s creative brilliance to the world.
