Album
Back in March Manana won the Grammy by virtue of being a credited songwriter in Afrobeats star Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ album, which won a Grammy for Best Global Music Album.
He is based in Johannesburg and is also part of international neo-soul, funk and pop band Seba Kaapstad. The group is made up of South African songbird Zoe Modiga as well as German artists Sebastian Schuster and Philip Scheibel.
He began his musical journey in a school choir at the age of eight.
‘Think About You’ is Manana’s first step from traditional jazz into the world of contemporary R&B/soul. It is a love song written for his fiancé and is the first chapter of a four-part story.
‘Distance (I’m Yours)’ is a soulful indie-pop twist about closing the distance between two hearts. Manana’s pursuit of love seems effortless yet profound. The song is written by Manana and produced by the NOBLE(@noblemakesongs).
