Africa-Press – Eswatini. MANZINI Regional Administrator Chief Gija has pleaded with government to financially support the Voice of the Church radio station.

The RA said the station plays an important role in the lives of the people of Eswatini and beyond. He said the station has become a source of strength and courage for many Emaswati.

The chief said there many souls which had been saved through the 24-7 ministry offered by the station.

Chief Gija was speaking at the station’s annual all-night prayer service at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre last Friday. The service was graced by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini who was the guest speaker. The guest preacher was Prophet Sandile Msimang from South Africa who unpacked the theme, saying God is doing a new thing. The prophet is known for his unparalleled insight on faith matters.

Chief Gija told the fully packed main hall that the station has become almost everything a person can ask for when it comes to spiritual therapy. “The station is a preacher, a counsellor, an advisor and music ministry is also found there.

“It also provides a platform for pastors of different denominations to minister the word of God. This is a great support system that anyone can ask for, which I believe really needs government support for its role in the society,” he said.

The chief said the station has also evolved to align itself with the ever-changing technology as it is now available in many social media platforms, which makes it an international channel. “People from all over the world are able to benefit from the variety of programmes availed by the station,” he said.

He thanked all the members of the public and the men of God who attended the service. He said the success of the service was an indication that indeed God was doing a new thing in the country.
