Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini comedian, Mdzura, has officially kicked off his highly anticipated 3rd nationwide school tour by taking it to Emcozini High School on February 18, 2026.
The launch event was a resounding success, blending side-splitting humor with a powerful humanitarian mission to support underprivileged students across the Kingdom.
The event, organised under Mdzura’s Comic Entertainment brand, marks the beginning of an ambitious journey to visit 40 schools this year. The day was described as a rollercoaster of “laughter and emotions,” featuring a diverse lineup of poets and comedians who kept the scholars on the edge of their seats.
“As a host of the events, I’d like to thank the administrators for believing in us as a team,” Mdzura shared. “The event was full of laughter and emotions as there were some comedians and poets that attended. Students couldn’t hold themselves back; whilst I was stitching them with comedy, they just came straight to the stage!”
A major highlight of the day was the unexpected and heartwarming support from the Mliba Police. Officers did more than just provide security; they actively participated in motivating the students and made a significant contribution to the campaign’s charitable goals.
“I’d love to appreciate Mliba police for donating in our campaign. The presence of police officers really amused us because they even motivated the scholars. This was not just about laughter, but also educating scholars on how to behave themselves inside and outside school,” Mdzura added.
The Mliba police officers backed their words with action, donating a full set of uniforms for both male and female students in need. The “edutainment” aspect of the tour also saw students competing in various games, including a high-spirited bread-eating competition where every winner walked away with a gift. Local artist ThaifoSon also took to the stage, delivering a performance that truly uplifted the spirit of the school.
This year, the tour is bolstered by a partnership with the Endlini kaGogo Foundation, led by Melusi Madonsela. Despite the early success of the first leg, Mdzura admits that the road to 40 schools requires more hands on deck.
“I’m still looking forward for other sponsorship and I’ll never give up till I visit every school nationwide,” the comedian stated firmly. “Although I’m still seeking sponsorship since I’m financially unstable, that doesn’t mean I can stop giving back to society.”
#EPN With the first stop at Emcozini successfully completed, the tour moves to Mkhuzweni High School today, February 19, before heading to Mhubhe and Duze High School in early March.
