Africa-Press – Eswatini. Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo has delivered a message that captivated both local and international delegates.
With heartfelt conviction, he painted a vivid picture of a nation defined by peace, ambition, and unity — all under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mswati III.
“We are a nation led by humility, yet driven by aggressive ambition,” declared Khumalo, acknowledging the extraordinary leadership that continues to shape Eswatini’s unique identity.
“This leadership is not just present — it’s infectious.”
The evening, attended by global investors from countries such as the United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates, and across Africa and Asia, was a celebration of Eswatini’s growth trajectory and investment potential.
Khumalo attributed the strong international interest in Eswatini to the country’s unparalleled stability and its people’s deep-rooted respect for tradition and unity.
“Our peace, our stability, and our unity stem from the fact that our people view politics through the lens of tradition,” he emphasized. “This is the foundation of our strength.”
He applauded his ministry team and the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) for their dedication, highlighting that their excellence is a reflection of the country’s broader human capital. “Whatever your ambition, in Eswatini, you will be met by people who believe in themselves and their future.”
Turning to economic aspirations, Khumalo echoed the nation’s goal of reaching First World status, a vision championed by His Majesty. He praised Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini’s bold economic targets, including the ambition to grow the economy by 12%, with a promising projection of 7.9% GDP growth this year alone.
“I don’t get hung up on where we are,” he said passionately. “I draw my joy from where we’re going. And with a leader who believes the sky is the limit, we are surely on the right path.”
The speech concluded with a standing ovation, as Khumalo invited the audience to welcome the Prime Minister, setting the tone for a night of optimism and commitment to Eswatini’s bright economic future.
