Africa-Press – Eswatini. A number of entertainment stables have shared their plans for 2024 and most of them have promised more concerts and festivals.

Founder and Director of Upscale Live Entertainment, Sibusiso Simelane said they had bigger and better plans for their fans.

“We are doubling our pace in terms of releasing content, especially music and videos. We already have four full length projects ready for release this year and they will be accompanied by music videos,” he said.

Simelane further said they had quite a number of projects lined up.

“One of the projects is the most anticipated album in the country Lwandiso which is Young Zesh’s second’ album due for release first week of May.

The album’s lead is single out and is title Liphasela.

The second project is Sean Cast HQ’s debut album titled Siphatsimandla, then we have an EP from Lyrikal Busta titled ‘Mbabane to Jozi’ and an EP from our newly- signed South African artist from the Eastern Cape IndianaRSA and Skoen Pampiri titled ‘Route 56,’ he said.

Simelane said most of the shows they would be hosting would be centred around artists and their music.

“We will be accommodating other local performing acts and DJs but mostly those that have their music out.

The director said the entertainment scene in the kingdom was filled with international music.

“It’s about time we as entertainment stables embark on a journey to push the culture of local music and grow the fan base,” he said.

He revealed that they have a couple of big shows lined up.

“We have ‘Grand Saturdays’, which we hosted in the past and featured international acts such as Simmy, Zakwe and Duncan, to name a few. Also the Spring Fair, which we did at Wendy’s Lodge in the Lubombo region, which featured Intaba Yase Dubai, Anzo, LaSauce and Just Bheki, which is coming back bigger and better,” he said.

Simelane further urged fun-lovers to follow their social media pages and mainstream media for updates as they would be launching all the projects they would be releasing.

On the other hand, TrusoundZ Events Management Director DJ Mixmash said they were curating more corporate partnerships and exclusive events that would target high value and high impact audiences.

“We will be doing more lifestyle themed events that aim to bring both business and social aspects in one platform,” he said.

DJ Mixmash said the advent of COVID-19 presented new challenges for them when it comes to hosting shows as they had less funding from corporates for events.

“Our dimension and approach this year would be on enhancing partnerships with corporates so that we gain the reaffirmation to invest and partner for events,” he said.

On the musical side, the DJ revealed that they were looking forward to re-establishing their record and artist management label.

Signing and managing four artists under their record label is part of their plans.

“Fun-lovers can look forward to the return of the HomeBrew Music Festival, which was last held in 2019. The HomeBrew is a festival with a 100 per cent local line-up that aims to give locals a big stage they can own and command.

“The Music and Leisure series will also return this year. This event aims to export talent out of Eswatini whilst combining it with leisure.

Finally, fun-lovers can look forward to the seventh edition of the Platinum All White Cross-over, which has been gaining momentum over the years,” he said.

SwaziBoy Entertainment Public Relations Officer, Miss N said they would try to do things differently this year by giving people more of what they want.

“We always want to be better at that because our goal is to make people happy.

“Hosting more shows that people will be excited with and those that have not been seen in the country is definitely in the pipeline,” she said.

Miss N urged Emaswati to gear up for their favourite shows this year, which include the House Musiq Festival, Swazi Polo, Deep House Conversations and many more those that would pop up during the course of the year.

“All we can say is, it’s going to be a great year filled with nothing but musical experiences,” she said.
