Africa-Press – Eswatini. THE upcoming MTN Bushfire Festival will trade at 75 per cent capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

MTN Bushfire Strands Officer Sara Vost confirmed that a total of 47 traders would be trading. She said 30 of these stalls were for food and 17 were for handcrafts and designs. According to Vost, 90 per cent of the stalls were from local traders and 10 per cent were from the African region. “These traders will offer a unique experience, which is diverse in the sense that it is uniquely African, globally infused experience,” she said.

She stated that there would be a side variety of food, from traditional Swazi food, Asian cuisine, vegetarian, Shisa nyama and lots more. Vost went on to state that the traders that were selected were the ones who had been selected for the 2020 MTN Bushfire. “We revisited our 2020 list of traders and fortunately they were all keen to trade even this year,” she said.

In 2020, the traders were requested to forward applications for trading doing the Bushfire festival, and they were selected by the team.

“We tried our best to involve as many locals as possible as we chose them to be our priority, especially those from the Lobamba Lomdzala Inkhundla,” Vost said.
