NEW PIGG’S PEAK CEO INTRODUCED TO MINISTER MAPHALALA

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Newly appointed Pigg’s Peak Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Roison Pave was on Monday, February 9, 2026, introduced to Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Apollo Maphalala.

The incumbent succeeds outgoing CEO, Mzwandile Ndzinisa.

Worth noting is that Ndzinisa has been surrounded by a lot of controversy while in office with the Pigg’s Peak Ratepayers’ Association calling for his removal from office for numerous times.

The Council issued a statement and it read, “Yesterday, the Mayor, Sipho Shongwe, and Ward Councillors formally introduced our newly appointed Council CEO to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development – Hon, Apollo Maphalala, marking an important moment for our town.”

According to the communique, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss local development priorities, growth pressures, and the collaborative solutions needed to support their community. To also further strengthen the connection between local leadership and central government was key to delivering sustainable development outcomes for Pigg’s Peak Town.

Meanwhile, last week, Shongwe, introduced Pave, to Ward 1,2 and 3 residents.

The Town Council stated that the Council extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to Ward 2 residents for attending the engagement held this morning.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Mayor to formally introduce the newly appointed CEO, Mr Roison Pave, who assumed office on January 5, 2026. The engagement also allowed residents to participate in constructive dialogue with the CEO and share their views and expectations regarding service delivery, according to the communication.

“Your participation is highly valued and reflects a strong commitment to collaboration, transparency, and the continued development of the town.”

Meanwhile, the statement also stated that the the Council extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to Ward 1 residents for attending the engagement held this morning.

Council continued to express gratitude to Ward 5 residents who also attended the introductionary event later on the day.
