Africa-Press – Eswatini. Former Mbabane Swallows goalkeeper Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza has survived the first hurdle in the race to parliament.
This was after he won in the primary elections under Sidwashini Umphakatsi on Saturday. The former national team Sihlangu shot-stopper was among the three Mbabane Swallows players, who were nominated for the Member of Parliament (MP) position from their various constituencies on July 22, 2023. The other two are attacking winger Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko and midfield maestro Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst. ‘Samba Jive’ and ‘Fela unfortunately did not make it to the secondary elections. They were nominated under Gege and Siphofaneni constituencies, respectively. The goalkeeper will now have to battle with Times of Eswatini Weekend Assistant Editor Welcome ‘Wex’ Dlamini and police officer Lucky Dube for the sit in the august House under Mbabane East Inkhundla.
