Africa-Press – Eswatini. I have read your article, titled “Minister Owen in trouble” with great interest and as a concerned citizen that has been following the happenings within the same Ministry I felt I must assist you to be more accurate and balance your reporting.

Well, I must say both concerned individuals are known to me and the matters thereof, are also known to me as I have declared.

I follow your reporting very closely and I like how you always try to be balanced and honest with your reporting.

Now let me help you Nkhosi to be more accurate in this regard, as far as I have been made aware, Minister Nxumalo and his Principal Secretary(PS) Nanikie Mnisi, their differences emulate from the non-understanding of the Ministers’ role as the political head of the Ministry.

The Education Minister seems be involved in the administrative affairs of the Ministry and this resulted to the clash between him and the PS, he recommended her sister-in-law Cebie Nxumalo to take up a senior position within the Ministry, against the provisions of the law.

The law is very clear(General Orders) that it is the Principal Secretary who recommends employees for either promotions, secondment, disciplinary or transfer.

But Minister Owen Nxumalo failed to declare that he is personally conflicted in this matter as the position her sister-in-law was to occupy, has big financial benefits in the form of tenders.

But the most recent disagreement between the Minister and her PS is the issue of the privatisation of the Bahai Schools, this matter needs your intelligence investigation Nkhosi.

It is alleged that the Education Minister received a bribe of two hundred and fifty thousand Rands(R250,000.00 to make this transfer possible.

It is further alleged that he received the alleged bribe at the Mug@Bean restaurant at the Gables, the Education Minister is selling Government land for personal benefit, what if all the mission schools could ask to privatize?.

The courts held the same view as the PS in this regard, please investigate this matter closely, the PS brought to the attention of the Education Minister that “it is against Government policy to have him employ his biological child as his PA, her child is now at the University while receiving a salary of around eighteen thousand Rands(R18,000.00) a month without performing Government duties.

Lastly Nkhosi, I am not in anyway, disputing the shortcomings of Principal Secretary, she does have personality issues, in particular on how she speaks and treats her subordinates but, please investigate the real issues between her and the Education Minister.
