Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Phonjwane student who was seeking assistance to pay school fees is now back in class.

This comes after publishing an article where the Swaziland Rural Women Assembly(SRWA) was seeking financial assistance on behalf of the student.

On Tuesday, Bonsile Mamba, the Chairperson of the Swaziland Rural Women Assembly (SRWA) confirmed that the student is now back in class.

“It’s true that she is back in class,Veli Manana went to the school to pay a certain amount and negotiated to pay the balance in installments. We would like to thank him for assisting the student”, she said.

Shortly after reading the story, Manana contacted the editor and asked to be connected with the rural women Chairperson. He promised to physically go to the school to pay, something which he eventually did.

Reached for comments, Veli Manana confirmed that he went to the school to pay and further negotiated that the student be allowed back to class while he pays the balance in installments.

The student was owing about ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00) in schools fees for both Form four(4) and five(5).
