Africa-Press – Eswatini. Poetry Has a Heart 2.0” is set to take place on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, from 12 PM to 4 PM in Mbabane, blending art with activism to support girls in need.
Organized by Tala Group in collaboration with the BAWSS Foundation, this event aims to collect sanitary pads for vulnerable girls, ensuring they have access to menstrual hygiene products.
The event will feature a line up of talented poets and musicians, all coming together under the theme: “She’s Her.” While the venue is yet to be announced, the mission is clear: to support girls by collecting sanitary pads through creative expression. Entry to the event will cost E50 or two packages of pads, making it accessible for everyone who wants to contribute.
FleminQ, one of the headlining performers, emphasized the event’s purpose: “This is not just poetry for entertainment. It’s poetry with a purpose. We’ll be raising pads for the BAWSS Foundation to ensure that no girl misses school because of her period.”

With support from SoFresh Hub, Vlersi and the BAWSS Foundation, “Poetry Has a Heart 2.0” promises to be both emotionally stirring and socially impactful. The theme “She’s Her” celebrates womanhood, resilience, and community, making this event a vital part of the movement to ensure that no girl is left behind due to menstrual health challenges.
