Africa-Press – Eswatini. Prime Minister(PM) Russell Mmiso Dlamini allegedly colluded with his alleged friend and handler Kareem Ashraff, the SwaziPharm Director in overruling a Cabinet resolution that recommended Dr Advocate Dlamini, a qualified and experienced candidate who was highly expected to take over as the new Executive Director of National Emergency Response Council on HIV/AIDS(NERCHA).
The PM allegedly rejected Dlamini who passed the interviews and was subsequently recommended by the NERCHA Board and approved by Cabinet, Dlamini “is currently working for NERCHA” and well-versed with the operations of the Government entity.
It is alleged that, the Prime Minister went on to appoint Pharmacist Nondumiso Ginindza, an alleged girlfriend to his Principal Secretary(PS) Bertram Stewart and wife to Dr Ncube.
It has been disclosed that,Prime Minister Russell Dlamini and Kareem Ashraff want to transfer other responsibilities of the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) and Central Medical Stores(CMS) to NERCHA,an entity under his Ministry and where he has absolute control and for purposes of looting millions of public funds through the procurement of drugs.
The Prime Minister declined to comment while efforts to reach Nondumiso Ginindza proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff joined the ‘fast lane’ and avoided questions.
“The Prime Minister told us that he has powers to overrule a Cabinet resolution and appoint a candidate of his choice as the Minister in charge of NERCHA”, said one of the Cabinet Ministers.
On another note,the Prime Minister is highly expected to announce Nondumiso Ginindza as the new NERCHA Director during a press conference to be held on Monday morning at the Cabinet Offices.
