Mlungisi Makhanya, the PUDEMO President confirmed that he would be meeting with the Nkilongo MP and other Members of Parliament to discuss certain issues.

“We can confirm Nkhosi that we will be having a meeting with Honorable Myeni as part of our strategy to meet with a number of pro-democracy MPs”, said the PUDEMO President.

About two weeks ago, some pro-democracy MPs were engaging the Executive of movement to become members, however, the MP who confirmed his desire to join PUDEMO asked to remain anonymous for now.

It has been disclosed that before the June 2021 unrest, the PUDEMO President played a huge role in working with other MPs to influence critical motions of public interest in Parliament.

“We have been working with the PUDEMO President and others for a long time but we can’t reveal or announce affiliation to the political party,” said one of the pro-democracy MPs.

Reached for comments, Wandile Dludlu, the PUDEMO Secretary General said as an organization, they are more stronger underground.

”PUDEMO is more stronger underground, we engage with different high profile people but we don’t disclose them because our mission is to push the struggle. That’s why it’s very difficult to destroy PUDEMO because some of our members are not known, this is an underground organization. We engage even with MPs but we do that secretly, don’t be surprised one day if you hear that a certain Commander in the Army is a PUDEMO member,” said the Secretary General.
