Africa-Press – Eswatini. ERS achieved a historic efficiency milestone in 2024/25 by reducing its cost of collection to 3.34 cents per Lilangeni, the lowest level in its history.

The achievement reflects stronger cost controls, digital systems, and streamlined operations, even as revenue collections increased by E1.58 billion.

Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule said the result demonstrated disciplined governance.

“This marks a historic low and improved effectiveness of our operations,” he said.

Employee engagement improved to 3.76, supported by wellness programmes and skills development. Staff turnover remained below organisational appetite.

Board Chairperson David Dlamini praised staff dedication.

“I would thank our staff members for their tireless effort,” he said.

The efficiency gains place ERS among the region’s stronger revenue administrations and strengthen confidence in its long-term sustainability.
