Reps Signs MOU with Renac to Strengthen Security Collaboration

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) and the Royal Eswatini National Airways Corporation (RENAC) have formalised their long-standing working relationship through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration and enhancing security.

The MoU was signed on February 04, 2026, with National Commissioner of Police Mr Manoma Vusie Masango appending his signature on behalf of REPS, while Group Chief Executive Officer President Qiniso Dhlamini signed for RENAC.

The agreement seeks to safeguard the integrity of both institutions by regulating areas of cooperation, particularly in matters related to security, asset protection and operational coordination.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Dhlamini said RENAC and REPS share a long-standing relationship that has yielded positive results over the years. He expressed confidence that the MoU would further strengthen the existing partnership.

“We are looking forward to deepening our working relations with the Royal Eswatini Police Service. This agreement provides a clear framework that will enhance cooperation and ensure the continued safety and security of our operations,” Dhlamini said.

National Commissioner Masango noted that the Police Service is mandated under the Police Service Act No. 22 of 2018 to provide national security services in the Kingdom of Eswatini. He explained that the relationship between the two state institutions dates back as far as 1978, underscoring its historical significance.

Masango further highlighted that the Royal Eswatini National Airways Corporation is classified as one of the country’s national vital installations, placing it under the asset protection responsibility of REPS.

“The signing of this MoU is important as it clearly outlines and regulates the areas of cooperation between the two institutions, ensuring effective coordination in the protection of critical national assets,” he said.

The agreement is expected to enhance security arrangements and promote effective collaboration between REPS and RENAC in line with national security objectives.
