Africa-Press – Eswatini. Young Buffaloes’ top striker Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze is the leading goal-scorer throughout the Africa continent.
The Sihlangu star is currently sitting top of the continental charts with 23 goals ahead of the top Namibian striker, Peter Shalulile of Mamelodi Sundowns at 22 goals.
This is according to the various African leagues’ leading goal scorers released by COSAFA yesterday.
Mbabane Highlanders goal-poacher Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa is third on the charts with 21 goals ahead of fourth-placed Lesotho’s Katlego Makateng at 20 goals. The duo of Depu Maria Aurelio (Angola) and Mbella Etouga (Ghana ) are tied at19 goals.
Worth noting is that Gamedze has opened a two-goal lead over his domestic competitor, ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa after batch 25 of the MTN Premier league matches.However , Sikhali’s Highlanders still have a game in hand in the league, following the abandonment of their match against Malanti Chiefs, which would now be replayed tomorrow at Kalanga Stadium.
