A series of school-related protests have been on the rise in the Eastern Cape in the past two weeks, severely hampering learning and teaching.
From the urban areas of East London and Gqeberha, all the way to the most remote areas of the Langkloof, the protests were sparked by the belief that the human rights of pupils are being denied.
The issues on the table are insufficient infrastructure, sanitation, teacher numbers and scholar transport.
