Africa-Press – Eswatini. After losing the National First Division ( NFD) promotion, Sidwashini United will now face serious repercussions from the Hhohho Regional Football Association Disciplinary Commitee for the ugly scenes of violence that erupted on Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre.
The Mbabane-based outfit players allegedly assaulted FIFA accredited assistant referee Zamani Simelane while referee Thembinkosi Dlamini ran for dear life after the sound of the final whistle whereby Pigg’s Peak Rangers won 4-0 and 4-2 on aggregate as the first leg ended 2-0 in favour of Sdwashini United.
Two gunshots had to be fired by plain-clothed police officers to calm the volatile situation.
