Africa-Press – Eswatini. FORMER Women football Association official Sonnyboy Mabuza has bounced back to the association as vice chairperson.
The former Eswatini Football Association executive member won the by-elections with seven votes during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Sigwaca House yesterday.
In the second round of the elections, Mabuza got seven votes ahead of the second-placed Winile Gwebu who got five votes to replace former vice chairperson Sindi Dludlu who was recently co-opted into the Eswatini Football Association Executive committee.

This was after the other candidates Xolile Dlamini from Royal Leopard and Thompson Ndzinisa were both withdrawn based on the elections rules, which are guided by the Ethics committee.
Meanwhile, the seasoned Mabuza previously served for two terms as the chairman between 2012 -2020. Mabuza thanked the teams for showing faith in his leadership skills.
“I am very happy with the results and I would like to express gratitude to teams for having trust in me and I am here not to change anything but I want to use my experience to add value into the sport,” he said.
