Africa-Press – Eswatini. Colani Khulekani Maseko , the President of the Swaziland National Union of Students(SNUS) has announced the closure of all universities in the country as King Mswati’s Government struggles to pay allowances for students.
Addressing students on Thursday at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security during the delivery of a petition, the Students President urged students to now work towards removing Mswati’s government.
“All universities will now be closed until further notice”,said the Students Union President.
Labour and Social Security Minister Phila Buthelezi had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
On Thursday students marched to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security demanding the payment of their allowances.
