SUPPORTERS DONATE E1 000 TO SIDUMO

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Soccer fans have come to the rescue of Manzini Wanderers fan Sidumo Ngwenya as they donated E1 000 to him.

This comes after he was shot last year during the political unrest. According to unconfirmed reports, Ngwenya was shot in the leg by unknown people and the bullet lodged in his body was finally removed after several attempts. The supporters donated the money after the Manzini Wanderers and Mbabane Highlanders match at Mavuso Sport Centre on Saturday.

In an interview, Ngwenya said it was true that he got injured during the political unrest and he thanked God for his survival.

“I would like to thank the fans for their kind gesture as this will go a long way in meeting some of my children’s needs,” he said. Ngwenya said he was not expecting this from the fans.

“I am humbled by the love and care demonstrated by the fans.” Ngwenya mentioned that he felt healthy and was doing well after the bullet was removed.
