Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini giants Mbabane Swallows are set to test their strength on foreign soil after learning their opponents in the prestigious Kixicrédito 20 Years Friendship Tournament in Angola.
The “Beautiful Birds” have been drawn in Group A, where they will face three formidable Angolan sides Bravos do Maquis, Luanda City FC, and Wiliete Sport Clube de Benguela SAD. The competition, now in its 4th edition, will run from 8 to 14 September 2025, with matches staged at the historic São Filipe Stadium across two cities.
Eight clubs will compete in 15 thrilling encounters, with only one crowned champion. For Swallows, this tournament represents more than just silverware. It is a golden opportunity to showcase Eswatini football on an international stage, while also sharpening their squad ahead of the new domestic season.
Club supporters are optimistic that the experience gained against well-established Angolan opposition will not only build confidence in the camp but also inspire belief that Swallows can rise beyond local dominance.
The red-and-white outfit will now intensify preparations, knowing that every game in the group will demand resilience, tactical discipline, and determination.
As the countdown to kick-off continues, all eyes will be on Swallows to see whether they can soar high and make Eswatini proud in Angola.
