Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini is set for a tourism shake-up as Taiwan’s top travel and hotel executives jet into the kingdom tomorrow for a week-long visit aimed at building partnerships and unlocking new opportunities.

The high-level mission, which runs from September 26 to October 1, 2025, brings together 17 senior representatives from Taiwan’s biggest travel agencies, hotel groups, and the Taiwan Hotel Association.

Officials say the visit signals growing momentum in Taiwan–Eswatini ties, with tourism identified as a promising new frontier for collaboration.

The programme begins with a Tourism Partnership Briefing at Hilton Mbabane, featuring opening remarks by Ching-lin Tsuei, Minister at the Taiwan Embassy, and presentations from Vusie Dlamini, CEO of the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA), along with representatives from the Hospitality and Tourism Association of Eswatini (HOTAES) and the Eswatini Tour Guides and Tours Operators Association (ENTOTOGA).

From there, the delegation will fan out across the country, exploring iconic cultural and natural attractions including Sibebe Rock, Malolotja Nature Reserve, Hlane National Park, Mantenga Cultural Village, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, and craft hubs such as Swazi Candles and Ngwenya Glass.

They will also tour top hospitality facilities, conducting site inspections at Hilton Garden Inn, Summerfield, Sibebe Resort, Mantenga Lodge, Mountain Inn, and Happy Valley.

On September 29, the team will pay an official courtesy call to the Acting Minister of Tourism to discuss deeper cooperation and exchange.

ETA CEO Vusie Dlamini said the visit is a chance to showcase Eswatini’s warm hospitality, culture, and untapped potential.

“Eswatini is ready to position itself as a destination of choice. This visit is about creating direct links with Taiwan’s industry leaders while opening new opportunities for our operators and communities,” he noted.

Taiwan’s Embassy Minister Ching-lin Tsuei added that the mission reflects Taiwan’s confidence in Eswatini as a unique tourism partner.
