Christian groups continue to pray for a peaceful end to the conflicts in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Recent violence in another part of Africa is also causing concern. Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, is the only African nation with an absolute monarchy. In recent days, calls from its citizens for an increased Democracy have been met with violence from security forces in the Southern African country. Archbishop of Cape Town and Primate of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, joins to tell us about the recent violence in Eswatini and what life is like on a daily basis there. The Catholic bishops of Southern Africa released a statement calling for more government assistance amid a spike in inflation. The Anglican archbishop discusses how the Catholic and Anglican leaders are working together on this issue. On another note, Archbishop Thabo recently attended the Lambeth Conference in England. He shares more on that.
