Africa-Press – Eswatini. EMASWATI who are based in South Africa are grateful to His Majesty King Mswati III for the warm hospitality they received during the Incwala ceremony.
Prince Nkomozethu of Ndishini area in Mpumalanga, said the delegation of princes and chiefs was excited to be part of the ceremony which they attended to the fullest. He said most of them participated since the Incwala started until the dispersing of the libutfo.
He said throughout their stay they were made to feel at home and joyfully participated in the Incwala activities. He said the greatest joywas that they learnt a lot from the ceremony. “We pass our gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III for the warm hospitality, which made our stay in Eswatini memorable.
“We are grateful to our emissary and
member of the Border Restoration Committee Prince Sicelo who ensured we were cateredfor and that we followed all the necessary activities.
Missing out
“We have realised thatwe have been missing out on a number of things. Going forward we will be attending all the traditional andcultural eventsbecause we are Emaswati and have to learn more about our culture,” he said.
He said they had always wished to be part of the ceremony as being on the South African side does not mean they are no longer part of Emaswati, hence they will coming through frequently. He said theywere also able to bring the Ingaja from the various communities
on the SA side.
He stated that even the boys were excited to participate in the Lusekwane ceremony and are even eager to come back later this year. His Majesty commended the nation
for participating in the Incwala ceremony which the king said was a resounding success.
