Africa-Press – Gambia. 4H The Gambia, a local NGO based in Farafenni and affiliated with 4H Norway recently organised annual National Gathering 2025 revolving around the theme: Inspire for Change.

The gathering brough together 4HERS from North Bank and Central River Regions and included national board members to review annual progress, workplan and 2024 audit report and challenges faced by 4H club members. The event was held in Farafenni of Upper Badibu in the North Bank Region.

Alieu Ceesay, National Director 4H The Gambia underscored the importance of the gathering as it formed part of 2025 annual calendar of activities. The synergy served as accountability and promote governance in strengthening youth participation in sphere of development.

He said the management and board highly recognised the important roles 4H clubs play in promoting youth participation in national development. Director Ceesay extended gratitude to the outgoing national board members. He thanked them for their support in enhancing good governance, accountability and inclusivity which lead to positive transformative development.

Other speakers included: Gibriel Dem, National Board Chairman, Musa Chaw Finance/Admin Officer and Alagie Saidy, Branch Manager of Salam Financial Services.

The national gathering witnessed presentation of certificates of appreciation to the outgoing board members at the ceremony which was held at Farafenni Youth Centre in the North Bank Region.
