Journalist Faye has written many short stories for Radio Gambia for its programme, “Tell me a story” while he was a student. He won the Gambia Press Union Best Health Journalist Award in 2011. The Point newspaper also awarded him as one of the best reporters in 2021. The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has approved one of his novels, “Bad Blood,” to be used in Upper Basic Schools.
Mrs. Serah Grey-Jonhson is his mentor. She is the one who encouraged him to become a writer. As a token of appreciation, he has dedicated his first novel, “The Broken Reed,” to her.
