Ghana Armwrestling Team Visits High Commission in Nigeria

Africa-Press – Ghana. The Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF), led by its president, Mr. Charles Osei Asibey has paid an official visit to Ghana’s High Commission in Nigeria ahead of the 14th Africa Armwrestling Championship.

The purpose of the visit was to formally inform the diplomatic mission of Golden Arms’ participation in the upcoming continental championship.

The delegation received a warm welcome from Mr. Eddison Agbenyegah, the Acting Head of Mission at the Ghana High Commission in Abuja.

In his address, Mr. Charles Osei Asibey emphasized the importance of observing the appropriate protocols by officially informing the Mission of the team’s participation, despite having made previous informal visits.

He stated that the team, made up of 13 female and 14 male athletes, is fully prepared for action at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Friday.

He assured the Head of Mission that, with the backing of the High Commission, the team is confident of a successful outing in Nigeria.

Mr. Eddison Agbenyegah, the Acting Head of Mission, expressed his appreciation to the delegation for making it a priority to inform his office about the team’s participation.

He affirmed the full support of Ghana’s High Commission in Nigeria for the team and encouraged them to strive for ultimate victory.
