Africa-Press – Ghana. The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has expressed condolences to the family of the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, describing her as a symbol of courage and leadership.

In a statement issued in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer, management, and staff of the GTA said her extraordinary vision, resilience, and passionate advocacy had left an indelible mark on Ghana’s social and political landscape.

“Nana Konadu was not only a remarkable First Lady but also a trailblazer in women’s empowerment and national development. Her contributions have enriched the lives of countless Ghanaians, and her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift future generations,” the statement read.

The GTA acknowledged her lasting impact across sectors including women’s rights, education, and social justice, noting that her work served as a catalyst for positive change.

“Her commitment to the upliftment of women, her support for sustainable development, and her dedication to creating a better future for all Ghanaians will forever be remembered with gratitude and respect,” it added.

The Authority extended its thoughts and prayers to the Rawlings family, offering comfort and strength during this period of mourning.

“We stand with the Rawlings family, and our hearts go out to them. May they find solace in the powerful legacy Nana Konadu left behind and may the love and cherished memories of her continue to guide and sustain them.”
