Africa-Press – Ghana. The Jomoro Youth Association (JYA), a youth group in the Western Region, has congratulated Mr George Blay Morkeh on his appointment as the Board Chairman of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC).
A statement jointly signed by Mr Desmond Kaku, President, and Mr Elvis A. Akroway, General Secretary of the Association, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, in Takoradi, said Mr Morkeh’s appointment had been met with immense pride by the youth in the Jomoro Municipality.
It said the Association believed that it was his proven track record of hid professional excellence, leadership, and deep knowledge of the energy sector that has given him the opportunity to guide a key national infrastructure like the PHDC to deliver on its mandates.
“We view this appointment not only as a recognition of Mr George Blay Morkeh’s personal merit, but also as a positive step that reinforces Nzema’s crucial role in Ghana’s energy future,” the statement added.
It reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to collaborate with the Board and management of the PHDC to help bring progress to the people of Jomoro.
It said: “We are ready to work closely with the leadership of Petroleum Hub Development Corporation so that the youth of Jomoro fully benefits from hosting this key national energy investment.”
