Africa-Press – Ghana. The Sunyani City (Suncity) Royals Football Club (FC), a division two side, has congratulated Yakubu Iddrisu, its midfielder, as the young player begins a two-week trial with English Premier League side, Brentford FC.
“We wish to congratulate Yakubu, popularly known as ‘Dybala’ the very best during his time in England and extend our deepest appreciation to Brentford FC for believing in him and granting him the opportunity”, the club stated in a statement issued in Sunyani.
A copy of the statement signed by Mr Ransford Antwi, the President of the Sunyani City Royals FC and made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) sports said: “Our less than three-year-old club has had three of our stars training with top European sides”
“Our mercurial young players featuring in various clubs in England, Spain and Norway is a great sign of progress, and we are grateful to our Directors, Partners, Agents, Management and Technical Team for the support”, it stated.
