Africa-Press – Ghana. The Information Services Department (ISD) has urged all interested media houses to apply for accreditation to cover the 69th Independence Anniversary Parade at the
Forecourt of the Presidency on Friday, March 6.
The statement requested interested media organisations to submit an official letter of assignment with the names and contact details of nominated journalists/camera crew to the email: [email protected].
The deadline for application is Friday, February 27, 2026 at 1700 hours, Dr Winifred N. Mahama, the Acting Director of ISD, said in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday.
It said due to space constraints and the high volume of expected applications, each media house would be allocated only one accreditation.
Media houses with existing accreditation to cover the Presidency may use their assigned reporters for the event.
All accredited photographers and videographers must arrive at the venue by 0645 hours for security clearance and positioning and display accreditation badges prominently, the statement said.
They are also to follow instructions from security personnel and media liaison officers and remain within designated media zones throughout the event.
It said only professional cameras and video equipment would be allowed for the coverage and that no drones or aerial photography devices would be allowed without prior written approval.
The Presidency Communications and Ghana Television would provide official live video feed, which would be accessible to all interested broadcasters.
It announced the restricted areas to include the Presidential dais and immediate surroundings, except accredited official photographers and videographers for the Red Security Zone.
The rest are the security checkpoints and restricted zones as well as the VIP seating areas.
The statement said accreditation was non-transferable and that late arrivals would not be admitted at the event.
